When you brake or turn the signal, the vehicle sends a stronger current to the second contact, causing the bulb to switch to high brightness mode.

Purchasing and Installation Notes
● Confirm the connector! This is the most critical step. Be sure to remove the old bulb from your vehicle and confirm whether it is a 3157 or 3156 model. The 3157 has a dual-contact connector,
while the 3156 has a single-contact connector. While the physical connectors are the same, their functions differ. Installing the wrong bulb may result in malfunction.
